Can Can Dress

This Can-Can outfit was made for Costume College 2004, where the theme was Moulin Rouge. The top is made out of red cotton velvet, with black lace trim. Red roses are used as accent points. The skirt is a matching red cotton velvet and a dark blue striped velvet (looks black in the picture)

To complete the outfit, matching period underwear was also created: white cotton pantaloons and a matching petticoat with three tiers of 3" lacing on both sides of the petticoat.

Over 10 yards of 3" lacing is used in this costume.

Cost: $500.00 not including materials
