I love Asian clothing, which I feel is very elegant and stylish, while being very pragmatic at the same time. Some asian costumes have a lot of fabric which give it a flow and grace (i.e. kimonos). Other asian type costumes are cover all of the body, yet are extremely revealing (i.e. cheongsams).

Asian Fusion

This brocade outfit might look like a kimono, but various aspects of it are very different from a traditional Japanese kimono. Instead of an actual obi, this fusion outfit uses a waist cincher with an optinal "add-on" bow to complete a more traditional look.

Because of the style in which this outfit was constructed, it flows a little bit more than a traditional kimono due to the many pleats. It features a small train. The sleeves are knee-length when the arms are level to the shoulders.

Over 8 yards of rayon brocade fabric were used in the construction of this outfit.

Cost: $400.00 not including materials
