On Photography

The following are Jade's thoughts on Photography....

Photography is my medium. The advent of digital photography has moved me from working in the darkroom with chemicals to working in the digital darkroom.

I developed a fascination with photography from her aunt (who was an intrepid traveller and always had a camera with her). I started taking photography classes in my first two years of college. My aunt gave me her old Canon AE-1 when she found out I was taking photography classes. Over the years I moved to different film cameras (with the AE-1 still my favorite). However, when digital photography was introduced, I knew it was time to start putting away film and to move with the new age of photography.

My work with the camera is diverse ranging from architecture, nature, portait, and travel photography. I enjoy working behind the camera, so all types of photography appeal to me.
